The ViewHouse Littleton's Friday nights are for the bands.

Despite having expensive headphones that are engineered to perfectly fit around the ears, cancel out noise, and make music sound like it's being performed in an amphitheater with perfect acoustics, music is still better live. There's just an honesty to it – or a raw-ness, if you will – and an atmosphere that you don't get when you listen to a recording. Why else would we go see our favorite bands?

If you agree, and think that there's nothing better than a few cold beers, mountain views, and live tunes to kick off the weekend, we're happy to report that Live @ Littleton – the ViewHouse Littleton's live music series showcasing local musicians – is back for an encore.

The ViewHouse in Littleton told us that from now to September 15 there will be live sets – featuring everything from country, classic rock, 90s, dueling pianos, and more – held every Friday night from 6-9 p.m. The sets are free to attend. Check out the schedule below:

June 7: Ninety Percent 90s
June 14: Crossfire Band
June 21: Dueling Pianos
June 28: JV3
July 5: Kevin Jones
July 12: Old Man Rock
July 19: Dueling Pianos
July 26: Last Action Heroes
Aug. 2: Roger Len Smith Band
Aug. 9: JV3
Aug. 16: Dueling Pianos
Aug. 23: Ninety Percent 90s
Aug. 30: Blinker Fluid
Sept. 6: Crossfire Band
Sept. 13: Crescendo Band
Sept. 15: Ben Hammond

New menu items like a spicy shrimp tempura roll, vegan stuffed zucchini, and ahi tuna poke had us very intrigued, all of which you can wash down with your choice of 40 local Colorado beers on tap.

It should also be noted that reservations are recommended for Dueling Pianos, and you can make them by emailing [email protected]. Parties of eight or more will even get a complimentary bottle of champagne upon arrival.

And to that we say, let's dance!

The ViewHouse Littleton is a 10,000-sq-ft space that features a spacious tavern, a 200-inch-screen LED TV, a large indoor and outdoor rooftop from which guests can enjoy scenic Rocky Mountain and Main Street views, a customizable banquet room, a 2,000-sq-ft outdoor courtyard that offers outdoor cabana seating, fire pits, lawn games, cornhole, and, of course, live music.
