Gearing up to become a grandmother for the first time, Lorraine Kelly took to a public event beaming alongside her pregnant daughter Rosie and paid her an adorable tribute.

Lorraine Kelly and her daughter Rosie were glowing at the Golden Chopsticks Awards with the TV star releasing a snap of their night on her Instagram account.

The TV presenter, 64, took to the social media platform on Thursday, May 2, with the snap showing the mother-daughter duo beaming at the camera. While Rosie can be seen sporting a brown bodycon dress, and an adorable baby bump as she's expecting her first child, Lorraine cut an elegant figure in a black leather dress.

The evening, co-founded by Gok Wan , took place on Monday, April 29, 2024, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel and aimed to celebrate the success of East and South East Asian cuisine in the UK. A night to remember for Lorraine as she captioned her post: "A lovely night out with @rosiekellysmith and her wee gorgeous bump - seeing @therealgokwan hosting awards celebrating the best east and south Asian food."

Lorraine's followers were over the moon and swarmed over to the comment section. "Rosie is glowing and I love your dress Lorraine", one of them penned. "You both look absolutely beautiful", another added just as a third reacted: "Aww love her bump , good luck with the baby."

29-year-old Rosie announced her pregnancy alongside her husband Steve in April, 2024, with a heart-warming mirror picture of her cradling her growing bump. "We could not be more excited – you’re already so loved little one", she'd penned in her caption. An enthusiastic Lorraine had replied to the post with: "THE most exciting thing to have ever happened in our family! Cannot wait to be a granny and so proud of Rosie and her Steve. It’s the best news EVER."

Later on, as Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid announced she'd be hosting a new number of her eponymous TV show, Lorraine couldn't contain her glee as she revealed what her unborn grandchild would be calling her. "Lorraine is back, morning, firstly... congratulations because Lorraine, tell us, I know everyone knows already but just tell us how does it feel?", Susanna first asked.

"I'm going to be a granny! How exciting is that?", Lorraine said, "Granny Smith because, you know, my married name is Smith! So I'm Granny Smith! We're all very excited, it's huge and wonderful and yeah... it's just cheered everybody up, which is just great", Lorraine replied at the time.

She'd then thanked her fans for their well-wishes: "Thank you to everybody who has sent me messages, it was really kind of you... thank you very much, it means a lot, it means a lot!" Susanna continued: "Everyone's thrilled to bits, I'm so pleased for you!" Once her show began, she was surprised with a celebration in her honour as she jokingly asked if her program would be rebranded "Granny Lorraine."
