On Monday, the Cleveland Cavaliers brought out the brooms and swept the Miami Heat in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs. In Game 4, the Heat didn’t stand a chance as they were dominated with a 138-83 loss by the top team in the Eastern Conference. Miami’s All-Star duo of Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro combined for 17 points in a crucial elimination game.

Before they were swept, Heat’s star guard, Herro, talked about not giving up in Game 4. Following their 37-point loss in Game 3, the first-time All-Star the team is determined to put up a fight and claimed they won’t go 4-0 against Cleveland.

“This is our reality right now,” Heat guard Tyler Herro said . “I told the guys it’s not time to let go the rope. We’re going to play to the final buzzer, and whether that’s the next game, Game 5, 6, 7, another series after this, you just got to keep playing. That’s what we’re paid to do. And that’s who we are as an organization. We want to compete. We’re not going out 4-0.”

However, had the idea they’d get swept early in the game. In the first quarter, the Cavaliers had a 43-17 lead. Cleveland’s advantage grew to a 72-33 lead at halftime.

This led to NBA legend Charles Barkley making fun of the Heat’s attempt to put up a fight. Barkley mocked the team hilariously during the halftime show of TNT’s “Inside the NBA.”

Chuck had a series of playful and soft punches at Kenny Smith to mimic the Heat’s efforts against the Cavaliers.

“We’re going down and fight,” the former star said in a high-pitched voice.

The Miami Heat didn’t have enough juice, and their season ended dramatically after the Cavs dominated.

Barkley called out the Miami Heat for their effort

At halftime, it was almost obvious the Miami Heat were bound to lose. While giving their take on how the Heat performed, Barkley called out the team for the team’s subpar performance.

“I try to never use the words ‘quit’ or ‘choke’… this is quitting at it’s finest right here,” Chuck said.

“You lost by 38 last game, you can’t stay in Miami… If you lose by 30 something then come back and lose by 40, you can’t stay in town.”

Unfortunately for the Heat, the gap between them and the Cavaliers blew up significantly. The game ended with a 55-point lead for Cleveland to end Miami’s season.

Adebayo finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. Herro, on the other hand, had four points on 10 percent shooting from the field and 11.1 percent from beyond the arc. Miami Heat’s offseason starts now.
