TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -After patchy fog early this morning, plenty of sun is expected today. Highs will be able to rebound back in the low-mid 70s today after the 50s we had over the weekend. Beginning late tomorrow afternoon through the rest of the week, chances for showers/storms return to the area at times. An active weather pattern is expected this week with at least a chance of rain within every 24 hour period with the exception of today into tonight. That does not mean your area will get rain everyday and at least for now there doesn’t appear to be one particular day that there is going to be a high enough rain chance or a severe weather risk that would lead to heightened awareness or the need to cancel outdoor plans. We may be looking at the end of the work week for a little bit better chance for more widespread/heavier rain and even if it occurs during the day it’s not looking to be the entire day. Today: Patchy fog this morning otherwise sunny. Highs in the low-mid 70s. Winds SW/S 5-15 gusts up to 20 mph. Tonight: Mostly Clear. Lows in the low 50s. Winds S 5-10, gusts up to 20 mph. Tomorrow: Mix of sun and clouds. Can’t rule out a shower/storm late in the afternoon. Most of the day will be dry with the better chance of storm development after sunset and into the overnight period. Highs in the mid 70s to low 80s. Winds S 10-15, gusts around 30 mph. Highs remain in the 70s through Thursday before cooler weather moves in Friday through Sunday with highs more in the 60s. Rain chances will continue to be monitored each day for specific details and of course IF there is going to be severe weather when and the specific details but this time there doesn’t appear to be any significant severe weather risks all week.
