MUSKOGEE, OKLA (KTUL) — A vehicle pursuit in Muskogee resulted in an officer-involved shooting on Saturday, March 8.

The Muskogee Police Department (MPD) responded to a shooting at approximately 6:09 p.m. near 24th Street and Topeka Avenue.

According to MPD, officers discovered a victim who had been shot at the scene.

The shooting is currently under investigation.

A suspect vehicle was located shortly after officers began investigating the shooting and a vehicle pursuit began.

The pursuit ended with shots being fired at the individual driving the vehicle.

The individual was injured and transported to a Tulsa hospital.

MPD did not provide any further information at this time.
