The 2025 NFL Draft is quickly approaching and one question continues to run through the heads of
Arizona State football fans. Where will running back Cam Skattebo be picked? Skattebo had an impressive season for the
Sun Devils , rushing for 1,711 yards on 293 attempts and running for 21 touchdowns, in addition to catching 45 passes for 605 yards and three touchdowns. He especially turned heads in
ASU football's 39-31 Peach Bowl loss to Texas in double overtime by rushing 30 times for 143 yards and two touchdowns, catching eight passes for 99 yards and throwing a 42-yard touchdown pass. Will that help the dynamic running back become a Day 2 NFL draft pick? Check out the latest seven-round NFL draft projections for Cam Skattebo in the 2025 NFL Draft, projections that have him going as early as the second and as late as the fifth round.
Ian Cummings writes: "He’s on the all-name team and the all-vibes team, but Cam Skattebo is also just a really good football player in his own right. He’s a strong, explosive, and nuanced runner with high-end receiving skills. Call him Gen Z 2010 Peyton Hillis."
Luke Easterling has the Arizona State running back going in the fourth round.
Will Helms has the ASU running back being selected in the fourth round.
Brad Menendez writes: "Skattebo’s been a hot name as of late, can that help propel his draft stock? He’s a plus athlete with good vision and had a solid college career that could push him up draft boards this coming spring."
Josh Liskiewitz writes: "One of the true breakout stars of the 2024 college season, Skattebo possesses a level of power and toughness that Dallas' backfield currently lacks. Last season, he was a nightmare to tackle, breaking 104 tackles and gaining 1,214 of his 1,716 rushing yards after initial contact."
It writes: "Acquiring Baltimore’s former backfield likely won’t work very well for the Chargers, given J.K. Dobbins’ injury history. Here’s a much-needed running back upgrade. Cam Skattebo is a tough running back with plus receiving ability."
