ALEXANDRIA — The Detroit Lakes boys basketball team ended at Alexandria High School on Friday, March 7.

The No. 4 Lakers fell to No. 1 Alexandria 96-53, finishing the season with an overall record of 14-13. In its inaugural season in the Central Lakes Conference, Detroit Lakes finished 7-10.

Detroit Lakes was a game short of the section championship for a second-consecutive season.

The Cardinal's Mason Witt and Clemson commit Chase Thompson each scored 32 points.

Detroit Lakes' Damarion Moss had a team-high 20 points on 7-14 (50%0 shooting from the field and 5-10 (50%) from beyond the arc.

Tyler Bye (12) was the other Laker to score double figures. Moss finished with a team-high four assists and Ryan Brinkman grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.
