A pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 77 early Saturday morning, MEDIC said.

MEDIC responded to a call for a pedestrian struck on I-77 around 2 a.m. Saturday.

The incident occurred on an I-77 southbound ramp near Interstate 85.

Paramedics pronounced the patient deceased on scene.
