The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to head to Landover, Maryland, to face the Washington Commanders in a heated Week 10 clash. With both teams only having two losses, it stands to be one of the most competitive games of the entire week. PLAYERS ON THE SPOT: The Steelers pass rush is going to be a huge key in this game if they want to slow down the dynamic Jayden Daniels . Daniels has the most scramble yards of any quarterback in the NFL this season, while the Steelers have allowed the fewest yards off scrambels in the NFL. Historically, Pittsburgh has been excellent at condensing pockets around quarterbacks. They rank first in EPA/Play against the quarterback run this season, too. Nick Herbig’s likely return paired with the debut of Preston Smith should help keep T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith fresh to maintain integrity on the edge. The Steelers have a good enough pass rush rotation to give the Commanders fits this week. There is no doubt about that. However, if Daniels is able to scramble and run around, the Steelers could be in serious trouble. DON’T BE SURPRISED IF ... The Steelers can run the ball all over the Commanders defense. Washington boasts an excellent duo at linebacker in Frankie Luvu and Bobby Wagner, however, their front seven is a bit soft. They rank 30th in rushing success rate allowed, and while they have improved a bit there, the Giants were able to run the ball on them at will, too. Najee Harris has three straight 100-yard games, and it would not be surprising to see the Steelers continue that. Note, this does not mean that the Steelers would turn all these drives where they can run the ball into touchdowns, though. The Commanders are a stingy red zone defense, and Pittsburgh has struggled to get the ball into the endzone once they get into the redzone. PREDICTION : This is a game where the teams mirror a lot of weaknesses. However, George Pickens is excellent in this matchup. The Commanders have struggled mightily against play action passes, too, where the Steelers have hit 9 explosive plays since Russell Wilson became quarterback.
