PHOENIX — A woman who went missing while hiking in Scottsdale was found dead Thursday, authorities said.

The body of 31-year-old Hannah Moody was found by search crews in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve area, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

Moody was last seen in the Gateway Trailhead area on Wednesday morning.

Moody’s father told ABC15 his daughter was an avid hiker who he believes was prepared to safely travel in the weather.

There were no signs of foul play, Scottsdale police said.

An investigation remains ongoing.

Scottsdale Police urge the public to respect her family’s privacy at this time.
