PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Heads up for drivers heading to the Ahwatukee, Guadalupe or Chandler area this weekend! A stretch of Interstate 10 will be shut down as crews continue work on the Broadway Curve Improvement Project.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, eastbound I-10 will be closed between the US 60 and Loop 202 Santan from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday. The closure is for scheduled drainage work and lane striping.

To get around the I-10 closure, drivers can use I-10 eastbound to Loop 202 Red Mountain. Another option is to take US 60 to southbound Loop 101 Price, then jump on the Loop 202 Santan to get back to the freeway. For people heading from the West Valley, use Loop 202 South Mountain to get back onto I-10.

For Chandler drivers, Arizona Avenue will be closed in both directions at the Loop 202 Santan from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Sunday for a widening project. Drivers should use McQueen or Alma School Road instead.

Scottsdale drivers will not be able to use Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard at Loop 101 Pima, as it will be shut down for bridge widening work from 1 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers can use the Loop 101 frontage roads to get to Bell Road or Raintree Drive.
