The Inn at Mary’s Land Farm is known for its animal experiences, including cow cuddling and baby unicorns!

If soaring gas prices and flight cancellations have you reconsidering your summer vacation, you might want to try a "farm-cation." A Maryland farm in Ellicott City is giving guests an opportunity to vacation on a working farm.

The Inn at Mary’s Land Farm is situated on a 160-acre  working farm complete with animals, crops, and a farm store.

Guests bunk in the recently renovated inn and can spend their days interacting with farm animals, exploring pastures, and dining on farm-to-table dishes. The inn offers five different rooms, each with a private bath and access to several common areas. Every night’s stay includes a farm-fresh breakfast served by the staff at the inn. Guests can unplug and recharge by sitting and enjoying the tranquil sights and sounds of the farm.

The farm can also arrange cooking classes and tastings with the chef, private interactions with the farm animals, and pick-your-own produce experiences. The entire inn can be rented out for weddings, family reunions, and other events.

Rooms start at $250 per night and certain dates may have minimum night bookings.

The farm also holds different seasonal events throughout the year, including the sunflower fields in August and cow cuddling in spring and early summer. The super-popular cow cuddling experience allows you and up to eight friends 45 minutes to pet, play, and cuddle with a baby calf. Cuddling with a cow reduces stress in humans and is the perfect way to introduce little ones to farm animals.

You don’t have to stay at the inn to participate in cow cuddling or the other special events offered by Mary’s Land Farm. During your visit stop at the farm store and pick organically grown seasonal produce, grass-fed meats and poultry, and fresh duck and turkey eggs, You can also get locally produced jams, jellies, oils, and other pantry products.
