Contest encourages mentors to share their expertise and love of fishing.
You know the old adage: give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is calling all fishing aficionados to break out the tackle and teach someone new the ins and outs of this favorite pastime.
If you love fishing, and you love winning stuff, do we have just the thing for you! CPW has partnered with Colorado fishing companies to help spread the love of fishing to adults in the state. The contest seeks to encourage anglers to mentor new fishermen and fisherwomen, teaching them the hows and techniques that will reel in the big catch. The contest started on April 1 and will be open until February 28, 2020.
And it's pretty simple, according to CPW. "Take a beginner angler out and be entered to win some great prizes by submitting a photograph and brief story of your time on the water. Submissions will be judged by their ability to inspire," says the contest website. You can read more on the Take a Friend Fishing website.
Qualifications to Participate:
