The cold front will stall tonight but slowly move through the rest of the state Friday afternoon. Highs ahead of the front will soar to the low 90s, while temps behind the front will be near the mid 80s. By Sunday, the front will have left the state, leaving afternoon temps in the lower to middle 70s. Winds will be gusty at times.

Temperatures will continue to cool into Monday and Tuesday with central Kansas only seeing highs in the upper 60s and western Kansas in the low 70s. Most of next week will remain dry, with temperatures gradually warming up.

A storm system looks to arrive next weekend, bringing a chance of rain across the state Friday night and Saturday. Confidence remains low on how much rain the state could get.
