Love chocolate? Wish there was a celebration of all things chocolate? Well, there is!

In its third year, the D.C. Chocolate Festival will celebrate, educate, and highlight the ever-growing chocolate industry! Come learn about how your favorite chocolate is made, celebrate all the different ways it can be consumed, and (of course) taste your favorites. Hosted by The Chocolate House, a local tasting room and boutique in Dupont Circle, the festival will go down on Saturday, April 28, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel (2660 Woodley Road NW, Washington D.C. 20008).
At the festival, you’ll have the opportunity to have a
“full day of access to eat and buy local, explore and learn about chocolate, and meet makers from the Midwest, West Coast and beyond.”
You can get an idea of the makers you’ll be introduced to here. There will also be a chance to take classes on a variety of topics, from the making of chocolate, to the business side of the industry. This is a great festival to bring the whole family to, as child tickets are only $10. You can purchase your tickets here. The Chocolate House sells a collection of artisan chocolate from all over the world and works to support the producers of “fine cacao, cacao farmers around the world, and the chocolate makers transforming cacao into chocolate.” [caption id="attachment_8796" align="aligncenter" width="1000"]DC Chocolate Festival Courtesy of madeinthedistrict.us[/caption] Learn more about the festival by visiting its website.
