The Night Agent has returned to Netflix for its second season, with Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso, going rogue during a new mission. However, the actor was not born with the name Gabriel Basso.

Born Louis Gabriel Basso III, he shares his first name with his father, Louis J. Basso, as part of a family tradition.

For his acting career, he chose to drop his first name, although the reason behind this decision remains unclear.

Gabriel, who began his acting career as a child in the series The Big C, was born in Missouri. He and his two sisters, actresses Alexandria and Annalise Basso, were homeschooled.

Annalise, 26, is known for her role as LJ Folger in Snowpiercer. She started her acting career at a young age, appearing in films like Bedtime Stories, Love Takes Wing, and Oculus.

Alexandria, on the other hand, played the role of Gibby's cousin Sabrina in an episode of iCarly titled iBeat the Heat.

Interestingly, Gabriel did not initially aspire to be an actor. Instead, he had dreams of becoming a professional football player.

In an interview with Hero magazine, he confessed, "I didn't want to be an actor originally, I wanted to be a professional football player, and I still sort of do."

He added, "I'm still sort of trying. It's hard to balance it with acting, but it's still moving along, so maybe I'll see you in England one day playing in the Premier League."
