The 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs first round series against the Orlando Magic may have prepared the Boston Celtics for tougher foes. The Magic might have a lot of work to do on their style of play and roster when it comes to the defensive end of the court, but Orlando has had one of the two best defenses in the league this season.

And the Celtics had to work hard to figure out how to score on a team that took away their deadliest weapon -- their shot from beyond the arc -- and they did so in just five games. Will the Celtics first round win over the Magic have prepared them for the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Oklahoma City Thunder (assuming that is the team that comes out of the West)?
