The historic Hotel Boulderado was one of the first hotels in Boulder, located at 13th and Spruce St. in downtown Boulder. It opened its doors in 1909 on New Year’s Day and celebrated with a Gala Ball on NYE. The name was created by merging “Boulder” and “Colorado”, so that no guest that passed through would forget where they stayed.

The hotel was designed by William Redding & Son. The style of the hotel pulls from both of Italian Renaissance style with Spanish Revival Features.
The original 1908 Otis Elevator is still in operation.

Today the hotel is a member of Historic Hotels of America and the National Register of Historic Places and a landmark for the City of Boulder.
The hotel Boulderado is not only full of history but is also a beautiful place to stay if you ever have a chance.
