Todd had grown up near the Lyndon community and had lived near Reading for the last 21 years. He graduated from Lyndon High School in 1980. Todd worked as a Supervisor for the Shawnee County Public Works Department until his retirement in 2024. He was a member of the Euclid Lodge #101 AF&AM and the Miller United Methodist Church. Todd has been involved with Lyon County 4-H Shooting Sports for over 20 years and has been a coach for the last 10 to 15 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was lucky enough to have gone on a bear hunting trip in Manitoba with his youngest son and 2 fly in fishing trips with his wife Kim in the extreme northwest wilderness of Ontario. Todd was united in marriage to Kim Smulling on September 12, 1998, in Miller, Kansas. Todd was preceded in death by his son, Tristan; and by his parents, Frank and Jennie Lee. Todd is survived by his wife, Kim of the home; his two sons, Brett (Jesse) Nettleton of Emporia and Rider Nettleton (Emily Scott) of Kansas City, Missouri; his daughter, Jennifer (Stephen) Beemer of Admire; his three dogs, Rose, Pi and Max; his brother, Tim Nettleton of Topeka; his sister, Tammy (Jerry) VandeVelde of Lyndon; his four grandchildren, Della, Lilah, Mora and Samantha with Emmett on the way this fall; and several nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Memorial services for Todd will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 23 at the Miller United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be at the Ivy Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. A Celebration of Life Party will be held at the farm on September 13, 2025, starting at 4:00 pm.
