It's fix-it Friday for the Florida gymnastics team vs. Missouri. The
Gators dipped out of Gainesville last Friday to battle No. 1 Oklahoma and suffered a disastrous meet. Injuries to Anya Pilgrim and
Sloane Blakely , falls and last-minute lineup changes doomed the orange and blue, which lost by nearly two points to Boomer Sooner. Pilgrim will return to the lineup, but Blakely will likely be out this week. In two weeks, UF has dropped from No. 3 to No. 6 in the Road to Nationals rankings. Florida needs a win to stabilize things. "We are better than what we have shown, and actually believing and knowing, having that belief in faith, I think, has continued to help the team," coach Jenny Rowland said. Luckily, there's no place like home, and the
Gators embody that more than anyone. In their two SEC home meets, they cruised past Georgia and Auburn. Against the Bulldogs, Florida scored a 198.125, the highest score in the nation. Versus the Tigers, UF had two 10s and four 9.975s. Yet, the Tigers from the Show-Me state are no slouches. They are top 10 and hold wins over No. 9 Georgia and No. 10 Kentucky. Like Florida, though, Mizzou is winless on the road in SEC play with losses to LSU and Oklahoma. UM is particularly strong in uneven bars and floor, where it ranks in the top five nationally. "It's definitely nice to be back home, back with the crowd, and in our hometown," sophomore Danie Ferris said. "We need to make sure we're not doing anything different or trying too hard or anything extra, just doing our normal and keeping it at that."

Florida gymnastics vs. Missouri history
It's another week, and another SEC opponent Florida has dominated. The Gators are 37-1 all-time vs. the Tigers and a perfect 15-0 at the O'Connell Center. The lone loss came in Columbia in 2018. Last season, UF battled UM four times (once in the regular season, once in the SEC Championship and twice in NCAA Regionals that Florida hosted).
