The time has come for the highest-anticipated Divisional Round matchup of the 2024-2025 NFL Playoffs . The two leading MVP candidates in Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson will face off when the Buffalo Bills host the Baltimore Ravens Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Baltimore crushed Buffalo in their Week 4 matchup during the regular season, winning 35-10. The Ravens ran for 271 yards, 199 of those came from running back Derrick Henry. Buffalo ran for 81 yards that night, which was the deciding factor.

Buffalo just allowed 35 rushing yards in its 31-7 Wild Card win over the Denver Broncos. In Week 15, Buffalo held the Detroit Lions (fifth-best rushing offense) to 48 rushing yards. The Bills defense has shown flashes of strong run defense , but there’s no tougher test than the NFL’s most dynamic rushing attack with Jackson and Henry.

During the first five weeks of the season, Allen averaged 189 passing yards per game. Over the past 12 games (that Allen played) he’s averaged 254 passing yards per game. Since that Ravens game Buffalo traded for Amari Cooper and has also benefitted from the development of rookie receiver Keon Coleman.

Unlike Allen, Jackson has something to prove in this game. He’s 1-2 in the Divisional Round during his career, and has at times not played as well in big playoff games compared to his regular season performances. When Jackson went up against Buffalo in the Divisional Round in 2020, he threw for 162 yards and an interception. Baltimore lost 17-3 to Buffalo.

The last game was decisively in Baltimore’s favor, and there’s plenty of reasons to believe that won’t be the case this time around.
