WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The City of Wichita Falls has announced that Karen Montgomery-Gagne was recently awarded the Community Partner of the Year by the 82d Mission Support Group of Sheppard Air Force Base (SAFB).

Commander Hollister said Montgomery-Gagne helped in taking the lead in drafting the grant package for the DEAAG, advancing language to the 4A/4B boards for economic assistance to both DEAAG and BASH weed control.

The City of Wichita Falls said throughout Montgomery-Gagne’s career in the Planning Division she has partnered with Sheppard Air Force Base, Sheppard Military Affairs Committee, and the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce on three different Defense Economic Adjustment Assistant Grant Programs (DEEAG).

The City of Wichita Falls said they are extremely proud of Montgomery-Gagne for receiving this award, and she will continue to be an excellent resource and ambassador for not only Sheppard Air Force Base, but our entire community.
