WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A lawn guy and social media sensation who transforms lawns for people in the Wichita area has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for a woman with disabilities who's in need of help. SB Mowing has millions of followers across TikTok, YouTube and Facebook and Instagram. The creator, Spencer, posts videos showing him trim and mow overgrown lawns, many of them at abandoned properties or for people who are unable to care for their yards themselves. Last week, Spencer posted on TikTok a video from a few months ago that shows him talking with Beth who said she had tried for a month to get help to cut her overgrown lawn. "I got a call from a friend at the city, and she told me that there is an elderly lady that is in desperate need of help," Spencer said on a GoFundMe for Beth . "So, I stopped by her house, and her lawn was getting CRAZY!" The GoFundMe says the city had warned Beth about her grass, and she was facing a $240 charge to cut it, which she could not afford. "So, I completely transformed her lawn for free, and she was in tears; she was so happy." "My prayers have been answered," Beth said. Spencer said that after he posted the video, which has been viewed over 83 million times, a lot of people wanted to donate to help Beth fix some of the accessibility issues around her house. They include the need for a ramp, a new bed, a new driveway, a chair lift and a new driveway. She also has broken windows, and Spencer said he'd like to pay a company to maintain her yard for a few years. SB Mowing posted a follow-up video on Sunday, showing the moment Spencer told Beth that he and his followers would be raising money, People reports. "Oh, my god," Beth said. "Why?" "They kinda fell in love with you and your story," Spencer told her. "We just wanted to come together as a community to help you out and get you to a better spot." The GoFundMe went live on Sunday. As of 9:40 a.m. Monday, the GoFundMe has raised over $521,000. "I really appreciate everyone that donates to help Beth out. I will make sure that the money goes towards fixing all of the items above or any other accessibility issues that Beth needs," the GoFundMe says. Some leftover money will be give to her in cash and the rest will be donated to local non profits to help other people in the same situation she is in."
