KENNER, La. — The woman charged with theft in the death investigation of a Kansas City reporter is once again scheduled to appear in Jefferson Parish Court for her bond hearing.

This is the third time Danette Colbert was scheduled to be in court for her bond.

Colbert's last bond hearing was rescheduled because the defense counsel wanted preliminary evidence presented to the bond hearing judge.

Investigators are expected to give testimony during this hearing.

Twice Colbert did not appear as prosecutors requested her date be reset as they prepared their case. This comes after a hearing that was rescheduled on Friday, Feb. 14, when at the last minute, Colbert was taken back to the Orleans Parish Justice Center where she is being held.

Danette Colbert is charged with stealing the cell phone and credit cards of Kansas City Telemundo reporter Adan Manzano, who was in town covering Super Bowl LIX.

Security footage from the Kenner Comfort Inn captured Colbert hours before Manzano was found dead in his room, police said. Another video reportedly showed them together on Bourbon Street the night before.

Public records show Colbert has a lengthy criminal history, and investigators accuse her of drugging and robbing men in the past.
