1.You were enrolled in ski lessons the minute you could walk.
Just when you started crawling, your parents instantly thought you needed to be enrolled in ski lessons. No other place was more authentic to learn for locals than at Eldora Mountain Resort. Your parents knew better than to drive on i-70 AND that this was the best place to learn hands down.
2. You grew up planning your Halloween costume around the weather.
It was always disappointing when you had the cutest halloween costume with a pink tutu and when it came time for trick or treating, you had to put your big coat over it because it was of course snowing. For a 7 year old, this was traumatizing.
3. You knew how to do a snow dance, that worked.
If you grew up in Colorado, you can’t forget the spring snow storm of 2003 where Denver got a whopping 31.8 inches. The snow was so tall, I remember getting one entire week of school off. Needless to say, my snow dance worked.
4.Summers meant begging mom or dad to go to Water World.
Water World was the only way to beat the hot dry heat in the summers. If it wasn’t for the big lines and the big scary white slides (you should know what I’m talking about) then I would have begged my mom to go everyday.
5.You remember being told to settle down and eat your noodles and company mac and cheese.
Nothing was ever as good as Noodles and Company's Mac and Cheese. Nothing.
6.You know who Jake Jabs is.
You were jealous of the fact that he got to play with tigers all day.
7. You grew up going to Red Rocks.
Growing up it was just the norm for you, now when you realize the kind of venue you casually went to all the time, you realize how lucky you really were.
8.You will always know Sports Authority field as “Mile High Stadium”. Always.
