First Friday celebrated at AMOA



May First Friday runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the Anderson Museum of Art, 32 W. 10th St., Anderson. The night will be full of shopping and snacks. A.R.T.S. — A Reason to Shop featuring local artists, crafters, consultants and vendors. There will be new exhibitions with Gallery Talk taking place at 6 p.m.

Anderson Artist Alley unveiling



On Friday at 5 p.m., a ribbon cutting will take place at 19 W. 10th St., new location; and a second one will take place at 5:15 at 1118 Meridian St. with the new show unveiling.

Highway 38 Sale starts on Friday



The annual Highway 38 Sale — which features tons and tons of rummage sales along the route and on nearby side streets is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The sale route stretches from Noblesville to New Castle, passing through Pendleton. Pendleton Avenue will closed off from State Street to Water Street with a variety of vendors. June Jamboree tickets will be on sale.

Last weekend of ‘All Shook Up’



On Friday and Saturday at 7:30 with a Sunday matinee at 3:30 p.m. at Mainstage Theatre in Anderson will host “All Shook Up,” inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley, including “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

Tickets are $20.76.

King of Country to play Lucas Oil



Country music’s real life cowboy, The King, George Strait along with special guests Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town will invade Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, May 4. The show gets underway at 5:45 p.m.

Divas on Tap at Pax Verum



Divas on Tap drag show is back for another round. The doors will open at noon at Pax Verum Brewing Co., 908 Main St., Lapel. The show starts at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person.
