Santa Claus is coming to town, and he’s bringing toys to good boys and girls—but what about all the adults? Whether you’ve been naughty or nice this Christmas, these D.C. bars are helping you celebrate with eggnog, festive drinks, and holiday cheer. So check out one of these holiday pop-up bars to make the season bright.

Miracle on 7th is the area’s biggest holiday pop-up bar, and this year they’re taking us all out to the ballgame with a “Candy Cane Baseball Wonderland” theme. In honor of the Nationals winning the World Series, Miracle on 7th has transformed one room of their candy cane and dreidel-filled bar into a Nationals-themed extravaganza. Come join the festivities and watch Miracle on 7th hit a home run with drinks such as Gretchen, Stop Trying to Make Fetch Happen (Hidalgo cream sherry, dry curacao, spiced cranberry syrup, sparkling wine) and Son of a Nutcracker (Martell Cognac, Brandy de Jerez, crème de cacao, crème de menthe, cream). If you head to the bar on December 23, you’ll also be part of a special night dedicated to supporting the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation. Aloha and Mele Kalikimaka! If you need some warmth, then head to Sippin’ Santa’s Surf Shack to celebrate Christmas in Hawaii. This year, Archipelago is combining a Christmas vacation with an island holiday to give you the best of both worlds. Here, Santa isn’t riding on a sleigh, he’s surfing on a surfboard as he brings you tropical drinks with a touch of holiday spirit. Come in before December 31, and you’ll be able to enjoy drinks like the Kris Kringle Colada (dark Jamaican rum, Cynar, allspice, lime, pineapple juice, cream of coconut) and the Christmas Eve of Destruction (dark overproof rum, herbal liqueur, nutmeg syrup, lime juice, and angostura bitters).

Are you looking to walk in a winter wonderland? Then, Winterfest is the place for you. Winterfest isn’t just a pop-up bar, but rather an entire holiday pop-up festival. Its 13,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space will be transformed into an entire winter wonderland, featuring a Christmas tree, the perfect gifts, seasonal beers, warm cocktails, and plenty of holiday cheer. You can sip on holiday drinks from local breweries and bars, watch classic Christmas movies, meet Santa, shop unique artisan goods, attend an immersive art experience in the “Polar Tunnel,” and dine-in at the pop-up restaurant, GLOW. Be sure to bring your best ugly Christmas sweater though because on Friday and Saturday there will be an Ugly Sweater Party and Night of 1000 Santas to bring cheer to one and all.

If your holiday season is all about dreidels spinning and menorahs lighting, then you’ll want to head to Ivy and Coney for the third annual Chai-vy and Cohen-y Hanukkah Bar: Bar Mitzvah. From December 2, until New Year’s Eve, you can celebrate baseball with a Hanukkah fastball. Be sure to try the bar’s iconic ShotNorah—a shot menorah that lets eight drinkers take shots all at once. As the bar is known to say, “make like a menorah and get lit!”

Sleigh all day at the Navy Yard’s newest sport’s bar, Walters! Just across the street from Enchant at Nationals Park, Walters is celebrating its first holiday season with a joyful popup bar extravaganza. You can come in from the cold and warm up with their fire pit patio and delicious boozy drinks. While there, get sleighed by the pour-your-own-beer wall and indulge in drinks such as Watch Me Whip, Watch Me Sleigh Sleigh (a boozy hot chocolate) and Red Nosed Rye (a pastrami fat-infused cocktail). Every Saturday morning, the bar will host bottomless mimosas followed by a “Mrs. Claus’ Holiday Bash” at night.

Head to the slopes with Après Ski at Conrad DC! You’ll feel as though you’re right in the heart of the Alps as you sip on warm cocktails such as the Hot Buttered Rum (Appleton Estate rum, Russell’s Reserve bourbon, fermented pineapple juice, spiced butter nog) and snack on French delicacies such as a Croque Madame with duck confit. Snow is glistening at Todd Thrasher’s rum bar on the Wharf this holiday season. Here, you’ll find a tiki-themed Christmas complete with snow! The rum bar will project lights on every wall, blast snow as you drink, and decorate an upside-down Christmas tree with tiki ornaments. Be sure to grab yourself a Tiki TNT Holiday Spectacular Punch and hot apple cider served in festive Santa mugs. During Tiki TNT’s one-year anniversary on December 10, you can even get $1 mai tais from 3 to 5 p.m.
