Get your Halloween on at the Denver Botanic Gardens' York St. and Chatfield locations!

It's the season of scares and spooks, and the Denver Botanic Gardens has got a Halloween event for all ages. From the family-friendly Glow at the Gardens to Chatfield's scream-scene Dead Zone Park or After Dark Corn Maze, you can find something that the whole family will love.

Truly Boo-tiful: Glow at the Gardens

Bundle up the kids and grandparents, alike, and head out for a fun, Halloween experience. Glow in the Gardens is fall wonderland of lights, pumpkins, and so much more!

"The Gardens dresses up for Halloween with luminaria-lined pathways, spooky lighting displays and hundreds of carved, glowing gourds. Using all real pumpkins harvested from local farms, our pumpkin artists push the boundaries of traditional pumpkin carving to create larger-than-life sculptures, dense displays of jack-o-lanterns and ornately detailed showpiece pumpkins."

In addition, the event offers a ton of other activities, including trick-or-treating, arts and crafts, fire shows, carving demos, and seasonal treats. Be there or be scared (of missing out)!

See You in Your Screams: Chatfield After Dark

Not for the faint of heart! You can get lost in over 7 acres of corn until October 27, or you can choose to scare up more fun with the After Dark Corn Maze and Dead Zone Scream Park!

The After Dark Corn Maze is not haunted, but who needs something jumping out at you when you are already trying to find your way by the light of a ... glow stick. Yep, a glow stick. Who knows what creatures of the night, and I'm talking about the real ones, you might run into!

The Dead Zone Scream Park is recommended for ages 13 and over, and is guaranteed to give you goosebumps. Admission to the park includes Corn Stalkers Haunted Maze (this one does have staged things that go bump in the night), the After Dark Maze and Fear Flicks. This year, you can pull up a hay bale and catch PG-13 flicks that are sure to add some fun to your fright night out. The movies play on a continuous loop, so you can take a break whenever you'd like. Check out the line up below, courtesy of Chatfield Farms. 

• Week 1, Classic Throwback: "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" – Enjoy this campy cult favorite from 1988, which will make you ask, “Do you really know where clowns come from?”
• Week 2, Family Night: "Beetlejuice" – Join us after Pumpkin Festival when the sun goes down for our family-friendly feature flick.
• Week 3, Comedy Horror: "Happy Death Day" – While trapped in a time loop, can you solve the murder in this horror-comedy?
• Week 4, Sci-Fi Night: "Signs" – Are the intricate patterns in our crops caused by the unexplained?

If You've Got It, Haunt It: Ghost Tours at York St. 

Did you know that the Cheesman Park and Botanic Gardens area was once a cemetery with a ghoulish past? The Botanic Gardens embraces its roots and offers a Ghosts of the Gardens Tour that discusses its skeletal past, real-life ghost stories from the staff, real overnight security experiences, as well as some great history about the gardens and the location. 

"Denver Botanic Gardens dares you to join us after dark! At our annual Ghosts in the Gardens Tours, our guides will lead you through one of four separate ghost tours. Each tour guide will tell haunting stories of the Gardens' one hundred years of history and illustrate points of interest inside and outside what used to be called The Boneyard," says the gardens' website.
