Yep, ice bumper cars are a thing!

Winter season is almost here, and ski resorts are getting ready for some winter fun. Winter Park Resort in Grand County is setting up a brand-new family-friendly attraction that is sure to be fun! People of all ages can enjoy some slip-sliding fun with bumper cars made to slide on the ice.

Winter Park Resort will be setting up this new outdoor attraction on the resort’s frozen pond. Ice Bumper Cars are set to open in mid-December and will be open every day from 12-5 p.m., weather permitting. A specific opening date has not been announced just yet.

A ticket for a 15-minute ride will cost $12. Guests must be 48 inches or taller in order to ride. The attraction will require facemasks for all participants and will have other social distancing and COVID-19 safety requirements to keep everyone protected.

This will be one of the first outdoor ice bumper cars in the state for the year. Last winter, the Howelsen Ice Complex in Steamboat Springs debuted indoor bumper cars on ice, however, they have yet to announce if that attraction will be returning for the 2020/2021 season.
