Denver has a little bit of everything as we celebrate Labor Day and enjoy the remaining days of warm summer weather. Lots of food, booze, and music, along with some free classes and new career opportunities, are happening this week in Denver, September 2-5.
Monday, September 2
A Taste of Colorado
When: September 2, 11 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
Where: Civic Center Park, Denver

The final day of Denver’s ultimate summer music and food festival. Monday’s music lineup includes Toad the Wet Sprocket, Taylor Dayne, and Scott Stapp of Creed. With free admission all day, you'll be able to enjoy music, art, kid’s activities, and over 50 local eateries offering tastes of their best dishes.

Denver’s urban art festival celebrates its 10th year in 2019. The week-long celebration of street art and urban graffiti is free for everyone. All are welcome to stroll through the gallery of outdoor art as it is created or sit in on lectures, hands-on workshops, and after-parties. Check out the schedule here!

Find Utopia

Where: Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center

The Fine Arts Center at Colorado College has a new diorama-based exhibit where you can apply to become a citizen of Utopia and have a miniature version of yourself added to the art piece. Learn more about the exhibit here.

Free First Tuesday Night at Children's Museum of Denver

The first Tuesday of every month offers an opportunity for families to play for free at the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus. Families can explore, create, and play in the Museum, totally free of charge. It's the perfect opportunity to check out the new Adventure Forest!
Free Day Denver Botanical Gardens - York Street

Another fun Tuesday freebie admission today to the Denver Botanical Gardens, York Street. Admission is free all day 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the York Street location. Wednesday, September 4
Blink-182 with Lil Wayne
When: September 4, 7 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m.

Blink-182 with Lil Wayne and neck Deep will take the stage at the Pepsi Center for this mid-week concert. Blink-182 will play songs from their album, Enema of the state, as well as some of their longtime hits such as “Adam’s Song” and “All the Small Things”. Ticket price includes a CD copy of your choice of Blink-182’s or Lil Wayne’s new album.
Cleared Careers Hiring Event
When: September 4, 2-6 p.m.

For those looking for employment in the Space, Defense, Security, and Intelligence fields, this is the job fair for you. The event will have on-the-spot interviews, as well as a resume question-and-answer session with local experts. Attendees are asked to have copies of their resume on hand and be ready to land that new career.
Thursday, September 5
The Wood Brothers

Denver Food + Wine Festival: Bartenders Bash

Where: EXDO Event Center
Price: Starting at $45, 21+ only
The Bartender Bash is the supreme battle of the bartender and is a showdown of local celebrity chefs and bartenders. There will be food tastings and beverages, as well as "best cocktail" and "best bite" competitions. The event promises plenty of food, booze, and music, as well as celebrity bartenders from the Colorado Bartenders Guild.
