Concerts, beer fests, fun runs, and more await you in Denver this weekend, August 9-11.

This weekend is full of events to remind us to have fun and enjoy the last few weeks of summer. There are legendary musicians rocking out in the Mile High, art festivals, mud runs, street fairs, and brew fests on our list of things to do this weekend in Denver. Check out the 12 events below!

Friday, August 9

16th Street Fair

Stroll along Denver’s 16th Street Mall for this annual event now in its 11th year. The celebration of fine art, emerging artists and designers, original and handmade goods is great for all ages and a chance to celebrate local art in the heart of downtown Denver.

Jeffco Fair and Festival

When: August 9-11
Where: Jeffco Fairgrounds
Price: 12 and under free, ages 13 and up $5

This three-day event has a little bit of something for everyone: PRA rodeo, attractions like pop-up art experiences, mutton busting for the kids, extreme dogs, a fun zone, multiple stages of entertainment, a saloon, vendors, and food trucks.

Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival

When: August 9-11
Where: Anderson Park 44th Ave & Field Street
Price: Free Admission

This free local family event has been going strong since 1969 and started when the area was a thriving spot in the carination industry and continues today, even though the last carnation grower in Wheat Ridge phased out operations in 2008. The event includes a car show, parade, live music, fireworks, a circus, a fine art show, chili cook-off, spaghetti dinner, pancake breakfast, carnival rides, and lots of vendors.

Zac Brown Band: The Owl Tour

Grammy-winning country-rock group The Zac Brown Band will be performing at Coors field Friday, August, 9. "With ‘The Owl Tour,’ our fans can expect some new and unexpected sounds woven into the signature Zac Brown Band live music experience," said Zac Brown in a news release. "The owl holds special meaning for us, and we look forward to sharing this with everyone."

Saturday, August 10

Wanderlust Festival

Wanderlust 108 comes to Denver this year for a two-day event full of running, yoga, and meditation. Wanderlust 108 is partnering with (RED) to donate a portion of ticket sales to lifesaving HIV medication. This weekend of wellness is all about self-love, and we love that! Ticket prices vary for different events, so check the ticketing website for more information.

Denver Sloan's Lake Art and Music Festival

When: August 10-11
Where: Sloan’s Lake Park
Price: Free Admission

A partner event with the City of Denver, this "Denver Days" event is a two-day festival with local and national artists showcasing original fine arts and crafts.

Brick Fest Live

When: August 10-11
Where: Denver Mart
Price: $17.50–$39.99

The ultimate LEGO fan experience, this is a hands-on event with lots of opportunities to get involved. Tickets are required and there are morning and afternoon session available for both days.

Hops in the Hangar

Where: Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum
Price: $35 admission, Designated Drivers are free

This annual beer festival features over 20 local craft breweries pouring unlimited tastings. There will be live music by Mama Magnolia, a car show, open airplane cockpits, and a night of fun with the community in the museum. Food trucks will be on-site with snacks to purchase.

Dining al Fresco

When: August 10
Where: 1450 Larimer Square
Price: Varies

The chefs of Larimer Square extend their dining rooms out into the street for this evening of dining under the stars. Named one of USA Today’s Top 10 Dining al Fresco Neighborhoods in the United States, this is a one-of-a-kind night out on one of Denver’s favorite blocks.

Rolling Stones (Rescheduled from May 26)

When: August 10, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Broncos Stadium at Mile High
Price: $164+

The "No Filter" tour stops in Denver at Broncos Stadium, with local band Nathaniel Ratcliff & The Night Sweats as the opening act. The legendary rockers are back on stage after postponing an earlier concert date as Mick Jagger underwent heart surgery. Ticketholders from the original show will have their tickets honored, and there are still some seats available for purchase. Head on over to the band's website for all the details. 

Sunday, August 11

Mushroom Fair

Where: Denver Botanic Gardens

This is an opportunity to learn all about the mushroom. There will be exhibits and educational displays, as well as experts on hand to answer questions.

The Muddy Princess

This 5K (3.1-mile) obstacle mud run is just for the ladies. Whatever kind of princess you are, this is your chance to let out that inner child and run, walk, climb, slide, and have a great time in the mud. With over 18 obstacles, loads of mud, goodie bags, and more, this looks like a great day outside. Little princesses age nine and up can join in as long as they have a participating adult present.
