Head to Hagerstown for the best of German cuisine and culture at Augustoberfest 2019.

Why wait for the fall when you can go to Oktoberfest in August? Enjoy live music while you savor some authentic German beer, pretzels, bratwursts, and more. This annual fundraiser for the Augustoberfest Charitable Foundation raises money to help create scholarships and exchange programs for students in both Hagerstown, Maryland, and Wesel, Germany.

WHEN: August 17–18, 2019 | 11 a.m. to 10 pm. on Saturday | 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday
WHERE: 23 North Potomac Street | Hagerstown, MD
TICKETS: $7 per person | FREE for children 12 and under

Live music will be played on the main stage, along with traditional German dancing on both days of the festival. The full schedules can be viewed online here. Free activities for children include face-painting, arts and crafts, storytimes, and a Punch and Judy puppet show. Magic shows and Maypole dances round out the fun.

Know Before You Go

  • This is a rain or shine event, and the festival activities are tented. Refunds will not be given for purchased tickets in case of inclement weather.
  • Pets are not allowed on the festival grounds, though service animals are permitted.
  • You must be at least 21 to purchase and consume alcohol. Be prepared to show a valid I.D.
  • Outside food and drink is prohibited. Bags are subject to search at the main gate.
