Get ready, Costco shoppers. Your beloved polish hot dogs are being cut from the food court menu.

On Thursday, July 5, Costco made a (rather quiet) announcement that it would be removing some of its menu items in hopes of making room for healthier options. And as you can probably imagine, loyal Costco customers everywhere are feeling a bit betrayed.

According to The Seattle Times, the polish hot dog is being discontinued at most Costco locations only to be replaced by a vegetarian-friendly açaí bowl. The original $1.50 all-beef hot dog and soda combo, however, isn’t going anywhere. (Costco sold 137 million original combos last year!)

“The all-beef hot dog remains,” the company’s chief financial officer Richard Galanti said in a statement.

Even though Costco has promised to keep its iconic all-beef frank and soda combo, Twitter users have a few choice words for the company. Heartbroken Costco fans have created the now-trending hashtag #SaveThePolishDog to voice their opinion on the chain’s recent menu update.

“Stay in your lane Costco,” Twitter user @tcransone wrote. “You are nine packs of BBQ sauce, $20 shorts, a tire center, and giant hot dogs at the snack bar on the way out. If I wanted some ‘super’ food, I wouldn’t be eating at Costco.”

“My entire childhood is eating a polish hot dog after shopping at Costco,” @mylifeasliv11 added. “And not to mention Y'all took off the berry sundae and added an açaí bowl. You also took off the chocolate ice cream and only have vanilla and this vanilla açaí swirl. Genuinely mad.”

“Costco, some people do not want to eat vegan ‘Smeats’ and enjoy eating hot dogs. This doesn’t have to be a binary choice. Why isn’t there room for both?” Twitter user @italianbea questioned. “Vegans and carnivores both enjoying your delightful post-shopping snacks.”

Costco’s plant-based açaí bowl is available for just $5.

If you came to this post genuinely interested in Costco’s healthier swap, here are the details:

Costco’s vegan-friendly açaí bowl is made with an açaí mix (served via Costco’s soft-serve machine) and topped with strawberries, blueberries, banana chips, and Kirkland granola. According to the online calorie counter MyFitnessPal, there are about 330 calories and 30 grams of sugar in one serving (aka one container or bowl).
