Each one will take your breath away.

Here's an understatement: Colorado is a beautiful place. Couples that decide to tie the knot in the Centennial State have countless gorgeous locations to choose from—many of which feature the unique splendor of the Rocky Mountains. Out of all these scenic vistas, five, in particular, stand out. These locations embody the best that Colorado has to offer.

Let's take a look!

The Denver Botanic Gardens

If you've ever been to the Denver Botanic Gardens before, then you won't be surprised to see it on this list. This Denver attraction is one of the city's most popular wedding destinations for a reason: it's an absolutely sprawling garden full of breathtaking scenery. Even better, the Denver Botanic Gardens accommodate plenty of weddings, which means they've got an easy-to-follow process for booking that takes plenty of stress out of choosing a location. Their summer wedding season is incredibly limited, however, so you'll be competing for one of several limited spaces.

Villa Parker

Nestled near the center of Douglas County, Villa Parker is a beautiful hidden retreat that lets attendees escape to the scenic heart of Tuscany—without needing a passport! This sprawling Mediterranean estate feels like crossing into another world, especially in the gentle warmth of a late summer evening. From the starlit ballroom to the scenic mountain view on the patio, this is a venue that offers the best of both worlds: a magical indoor hosting area and a breathtaking outdoor reception area. Better yet, the location means you're within easy driving distance of Denver destinations without having to navigate Denver traffic!

The Colorado Renaissance Festival

The wooded grove outside of Larkspur that houses the Colorado Renaissance Festival is already a beautiful area, and that's before you add in the charm of a 16th-century Tudor village! Every year, the festival accepts reservations for its wedding grounds, which come complete with a quaint little chapel! It's worth noting that the wedding grounds are located within the festival grounds proper, meaning your ceremony will effectively be part of the event. So you can certainly expect knights, fairies, and the obligatory pirate to be in attendance. For some couples, that's a dealbreaker. For others, it's a requirement. That said, if you want a fairytale wedding in the most literal possible sense of the term, the ren fair is the place to do it.

The Brown Palace

If you want a high-class (read: expensive) downtown Denver wedding, then The Brown Palace is at the very top of its class. This scenic hotel, restaurant, and spa is one of Denver's classiest historic landmarks, a fact that becomes immediately apparent from the moment you enter its gilded doors. For couples that want a classy, sophisticated wedding, this location is hard to beat. As an added bonus, your wedding venue also contains one of the best spa hotels in the state, along with several of the best restaurants. Your honeymoon will be within walking distance!

Deer Creek Valley Ranch

This destination can be a little bit of a drive, but it's worth it. Located just outside Bailey in the Rocky Mountains, this 165-acre ranch is a great destination for adventurous, outdoorsy couples. Even better, the venue is equal parts rustic and comfortable, meaning you can enjoy all of the adventurous trappings of a mountain ranch without having to get your cowboy boots muddy. If you've ever dreamed of saying "I do" with the snow-capped Rockies as your backdrop and an ocean of beautiful wildflowers around you, then this is the place to do so.

Colorado is a beautiful state, and that naturally translates to a lot of beautiful locations. Which wedding venue is your favorite? Sound off in the comments!
