We initially wrote this piece back in 2021 for the 2022 year, following the death of Queen Elizabeth. But now, with the recent news of King Charles III's cancer diagnosis, we wanted to update and revisit it, to see if French prophet and philosopher Michel de Nostradamus' predictions for 2024 line up with the current events.

And guess what? They do.

In his book Les Propheties, Nostradamus predicted the following: "Because they disapproved of his divorce, a man, who, later, they considered unworthy. The people will force out the King of the Islands. A man will replace him who never expected to be king."

Mario Reading, a leading expert on Nostradamus, wrote a reinterpretation in 2005 of the original predictions made by Nostradamus.

He predicted Queen Elizabeth's death, writing, "The preamble is that Queen Elizabeth II will die, circa 2022, at the age of around ninety-six, five years short of her mother’s term of life."

Now, onto King Charles. As mentioned, we recently learned about his cancer diagnosis, and it's started to have people question the length of his reign. According to Reading's book, "Prince Charles will be 74 years old in 2022, when he takes over the throne, but the resentments against him by a certain proportion of the British population, following his divorce from Diana, Princess of Wales, still persist."

However, we realize the chances of King Charles being forced out by "the people" remain admittedly very low. But this cancer diagnosis and his age could be a cause for some worry when it comes to his rule.

"The pressure on him is so great, and his age so much against him, that Charles agrees to abdicate in favour of his son," Reading added.

The question is: which son? Prince William or Prince Harry? After all, the prediction does say, "A man will replace him who never expected to be king."

Reading questioned this too, writing, "Does that mean that Prince William, who would have expected to succeed his father, is no longer in the picture? Prince Harry, by process of default, becomes King in his stead? That would make him King Henry IX, aged just 38."

So... what do YOU think? Do Nostradamus' predictions hold any merit? Will 2024 be the year we see King Charles III's reign come to an end?

Only time will tell ...
