According to the press release, Amazon is looking for grocery associates to work in customer relations and also food preparation associates. Grocery associates will work in the front of the store, assisting with checkout, customer service, and maintaining the store. Food prep includes everything from pizzas to rotisserie chicken and plenty of other tasty items in between.
Both types of jobs have the minimum requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
- Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Flexible schedules including evenings and weekends are expected for all employees.
- Amazon associates help re-stock and clean, so applicants must be able to lift at least 49 pounds of weight.
