Denver Public Health recently reported a Hepatitis A outbreak among the homeless population, and due to its highly contagious nature and its adverse effects on the liver, it's important that the public is informed and prepared about its risk factors, symptoms, and prevention. Hepatitis A is easily spread, but thankfully, this disease is preventable with the use of vaccines.
Are You At Risk?
- Contact with contaminated frozen or undercooked food
- Traveling to countries where Hepatitis A is common
- Sexual contact with an individual who has Hepatitis A
