Get ready to chillax on the beach – According to TripAdvisor, Virginia Beach is one of the most popular vacation spots.
Hey, beach bums of the 757! We can now rave about our beach (as if we haven't already) because Virginia Beach has secured the No. 10 spot on TripAdvisor's "Most Popular U.S. Summer Destinations" list!
The list was based on hotel booking interest. And we have plenty of great places for visitors to stay, amiright?!
Here's the official list of the other destinations that made the top 10:
- Orlando, Florida
- Las Vegas, Nevada
- Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
- Maui, Hawaii
- New York City, New York
- Key West, Florida
- New Orleans, Louisiana
- Ocean City, Maryland
- San Diego, California
- Virginia Beach, Virginia
Virginia Beach's average hotel nightly cost is $272 with a 30 percent savings! And we make every cent worth it: Residents of "The 757" already know how awesome of a vacation destination we have here because of what the city and boardwalk have to offer: a theme park, haunted house, arcade, tons of shops for your souvenirs, so many restaurants, miles of boardwalk, and – of course – the beach!
Once you're done jamming out at the beach, head on over to the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater (what a mouthful) to see your favorites like Jimmy Buffet!
In addition to the boardwalk, we have several parks for hiking, The Funny Bone comedian club, plenty of museums, concert venues, popular malls, an abundance of movie theatres, and more ... oh, so much more!
Check out this photo of First Landing State Park, which will satisfy your nature needs by offering free entry, private beaches, and 2,888 acres of land!
Before you leave, don't forget your photo op moment with King Neptune (it's the most iconic photo you will get of this place – he's one of the many things we are known for)!
Consider vacationing in Virginia Beach this summer? You won't regret it! Virginia Beach is huge, so don't be afraid to check out Town Center, Mount Trashmore, and our abundance of movie theatres! We recommend stopping at Waterman's, too, for their famous Orange Crushes! Whatever you do, don't skip out on sitting on the deck next to the water!
