BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Sunday will be our nicest weather day for the coming week. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be on the increase by the middle of next week.

Sunday’s forecast is shaping up to be a nice one! Sunshine returns to the area with highs in the 80s.

A tropical disturbance, in the western Gulf, is forecast to gradually increase in strength next week. This is expected to bring several rounds of rain to south Louisiana.

Rain chances will continue through late next week, with our highest chances Tuesday through Thursday.
