PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A big warm-up is headed to Arizona, bringing some of the warmest days so far of 2025. Today is the first day of spring, with the Vernal Equinox occurring early this morning. Sunshine and light winds are expected across most of the state today. In the Valley, look for a slightly warmer day, with an afternoon high of 82 degrees. We’ll warm to about 84 degrees tomorrow before bigger climb begins this weekend. An area of low pressure moving by along the Arizona and Utah border will bring some increased breeziness to Northern Arizona today, but no rain or snow is expected. Temperatures in the Valley should warm to the upper 80s both Saturday and Sunday, which is about 8 degrees above normal for this time of year. A stronger ridge of high pressure will begin building off the West Coast and is expected to push east over the Western United States early next week. This will bring even warmer temperatures, pushing the Valley into the mid 90s Monday and to the mid to upper 90s Tuesday and Wednesday. At this point, temperatures are forecast to peak near 97 on Tuesday and 96 on Wednesday. Slight cooling is expected by the end of next week. See a spelling or grammatical error in our story?
