COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - We’ve got some great weather to kick off the holiday weekend. We stay dry until later tonight when rounds of rain will be possible at times next week. This is the perfect day for enjoying outdoor activities or attending any outdoor events. After a bit of a cool start to the day, temperatures will be comfortably warm in the lower 80s for highs. We stay dry through today, but changes arrive as early as tonight. Your evening plans should be fine, but rain chances will increase after midnight into Sunday morning. It will not be an all-day rain Sunday. After the round of rain, which could fall heavily at times, exits late Sunday morning, a few isolated storms will remain possible during the afternoon. Also, a few storms could have the capability of becoming strong with damaging wind gusts being the primary threat. A ‘Marginal 1/5 Risk’ is now in place for most of the area for this isolated threat. Stay weather-aware Sunday. While the rain chance is looking slightly lower compared to Sunday, Memorial Day on Monday will feature a chance of some rain as well. It will be quite humid out with high temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s. A slow-moving frontal system nearby could keep our weather unsettled for much of next week. As of now, every single day has a chance of rain. Today: A mix of sun and clouds overhead. Highs in the lower 80s. Sunday: Chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s. Memorial Day: Highs temperatures in the upper 70s with a 30% chance of rain. Tuesday: Showers and possible thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s. Wednesday: Few showers with high temperatures in the lower 80s. . .
