The fan-favorite treat arrives August 31.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more fall-like with Dunkin' and Starbucks' seasonal menus, Dairy Queen announces the return of their fall-flavored concoctions. The restaurant is bringing back the ever-popular Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, as well as a new pumpkin treat that will make you go "PSL, who?"

It's not hard to see why the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard's been a favorite for over 25 years now. Like the perennial dessert of Thanksgiving, it contains bits of pumpkin pie (crust included) swirled into vanilla soft-serve and topped with whipped cream and nutmeg for an autumnal flourish. Who knew pumpkin pie could be so refreshing?

But it doesn't stop there! The fast-food chain is also unveiling a brand-new dessert for those warm transitional seasons so common during the fall months: the Pumpkin Cookie Butter Shake. Using a base of vanilla soft-serve and milk, the shake combines the flavors of pumpkin and cookie butter, complete with whipped cream and nutmeg to top it off. All the pumpkin pie spices are here and accounted for, providing that undeniable fall taste we crave every year!

When do we know it's fall? Some gauge the season by the shifting colors of leaves, or crispness in the air. For us, it's definitely the arrival of pumpkin-flavored products. Retailers have started stocking their shelves with pumpkin-flavored cookies, cakes, and cereals, while Starbucks and Dunkin' have debuted their fall lineup including the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte. It may not be sweater weather just yet, but we don't mind being ahead of the curve, especially where pumpkin is concerned!

Itching for a taste? These two treats are set to arrive on August 31 at a Dairy Queen near you. We'll be breaking out the cozy blankets and candles, anyway, even if we have to crank up the AC!

Will you be grabbing one of these to try? Let us know in the comments!
