It may be too early to start thinking about the fall, but Krispy Kreme doesn't seem to think so!

America may be in the middle of a giant heat wave but that’s not stopping Krispy Kreme from bringing out the pumpkin spice. The doughnut shop will be launching its pumpkin spice doughnuts and drinks TODAY, August 8. Krispy Kreme is the first doughnut shop to launch pumpkin spice for the season!

“Sure, pumpkin spice is generally associated with fall, but true fans of the flavor will agree that August is close enough! So, we’re pulling fall forward, enabling our guests to indulge and enjoy early with delicious pumpkin spice doughnuts and drinks, including our Pumpkin Spice Latte, which you can get iced or frozen, by the way,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme.

Krispy Kreme has two new products joining the lineup: a pumpkin spice iced coffee and a pumpkin spice latte swirl doughnut.

Classic fall favorites are also returning—including the pumpkin spice original glazed doughnut, the pumpkin spice cake doughnut, and the pumpkin spice original filled cheesecake doughnut. Fans will also be able to get pumpkin spiced coffee or a pumpkin spice latte served hot, iced, or frozen.

As for the usual pumpkin spice suspects, Starbucks is launching its pumpkin spice menu at the end of August; Dunkin’ is rumored to launch on August 17; and 7-11 is currently serving both pumpkin spice coffee and pumpkin spice lattes.
