The coronavirus pandemic has given us all a little wanderlust and Leinenkugel Brewing has just the cure. The brewery is celebrating the annual release of its Summer Shandy Weiss beer with a special contest. Now through March 11, 2021, fans can enter a contest to win a cute lakeside cabin called the “Summer Shandy Ice Shanty.” Traditionally used as an ice fishing hut in the winter, the tiny hut has been redesigned for use in the summer and will be delivered to the grand prize winner’s home, along with a year’s supply of beer. And speaking of "shanties," check these out

With bars and restaurants closed, people have spent more time at home, resulting in higher sales of liquor and beer during the pandemic. The way people bought alcoholic beverages also changed, with online sales surging 80 percent, according to market research firm IWSR. Even when things return to normal, the industry expects delivery and online sales to continue to increase.
