Check out these local Denver faves!

We are back again with some more Denver bucket list food items! This time, we are also adding a drink. Get ready to see what you need to try next in Denver!

1. Orgasm Roll - Hapa Sushi

Hapa Sushi has some of the best sushi roll names! The rolls are also very tasty. The Orgasm Roll, which is a Hapa original, features a California roll that is wrapped in salmon and sweet soy sauce. It is then broiled in a spicy Japanese aioli. While the Orgasm Roll is not traditional sushi, it is certainly fun, creative, and delicious! If you're a sushi fan, you need to check out this roll at Hapa. I know you're really going to enjoy it.

2. OMFG Bacon Flight - Bacon Social House

I love a good brunch! One cool brunch spot to check out in Denver is Bacon Social House. This spot also has locations in Sunnyside and Littleton. While flights usually refer to beer, or something alcoholic, this spot also offers a bacon flight! This includes 6 slices of differently seasoned bacon, which are: pecan wood, BBQ, candied, french toast, chile lime, and the bacon of the month. You'll have a great time deciding which flavor is your favorite. When I was there, I remember loving the bacon of the month at the time and the chile lime flavor.

3. Rocky Mountain Oysters - The Buckhorn Exchange

Check out Denver's oldest restaurant for a very special experience, Rocky Mountain Oysters. If you have never heard of these, you might be surprised to learn that they aren't, in fact, oysters. Nope. This dish is actually made from bull testicles. Grab your most adventurous friends and hit up this spot to try an appetizer you won't find many places. I have yet to try these myself, but it's a must for me. Sometimes, the things that sound the weirdest are the best thing you've ever had!

4. Mea Sai Khao Soi - Daughter Thai

If you love Thai food, you need to visit Daughter Thai. The Mea Sai Khao Soi is a noodles curry dish that features crispy duck confit in a khao soi curry. It is an insanely good and decadent dish, and the duck makes it extra special. I'm looking forward to visiting Daughter Thai soon and ordering this meal again!

5. The Purple Starf*cker - Sidecar Longue

Sidecar's signature shot is one of the most unique shots I've ever had. It's a deep purple color, features a pop rocks rim, and is very sweet tasting. You also have the option to add a "Buzz Button," a tiny edible flower. This flower truly makes this shot special, as it creates a numbing, tingly feeling in your mouth. Eat it before throwing back the shot for a weird, but fun, time. While not everyone enjoys this sensation, it is something I think most people should experience at least once.

There's so much to do, see, eat, and drink in the Denver area! Have you visited any of these must-try locations?
