All-natural, handmade, and vertically cut, Denver Chip Co. is bringing some crispiness to Denver.
It's all part of the dream of two brothers from Broad Ripple Village in Indianapolis, Dylan and Connor McSweeney, who envisioned themselves among the snowed-capped mountains, enjoying the illustrious sunsets of the Rockies.
However, until that dream could be realized, the brothers worked and learned from their father over the course of seven years, growing their family business, Broad Ripple Chip Co. Using Idaho Russet potatoes that produce larger, slightly darker chips, their handmade process has fostered success in both retail and wholesale markets, from craft breweries and restaurants to grocery stores.
Fueled by passion and equipped with years of knowledge, Dylan and Connor made the journey in hopes of expanding their family’s artisan chip recipe. So, the brothers relocated to Denver in February 2017.
After encountering many different hurdles and uncertain delays, coupled with the humbling experience of starting a business in the Mile High City, Denver Chip Co. spent the next year and a half formulating and creating its foundation – crafting their business and instituting what they've practiced with their father. Not to mention, branding their packaging and logo as a nod to their beloved pug, Zeus.
With the completion of their first hand-made batch, Denver Chip Co. has found itself in six Colorado breweries and 18 Whole Foods, all within months. This is shaping to be a promising start to a second generation mission: gluten-free chips containing no preservatives, trans fats, MSG, or GMOs.
By having every step of the process done by hand (selection, slicing, seasoning, and packaging), Denver Chip Co. has developed a one-of-a-kind, super crunchy chip, giving you more true potato flavor than factory chips could dream of.
