Let's go, Avs! The Colorado Avalanche will open the 2019-20 season with four home games.

The Colorado Avalanche released their schedule for the 2019-2020 season last week, with games beginning on October 3.

This year marks as the 11th time in 14 years that the Avalanche has started the season here in Denver. The first four games will be held at the Pepsi Center with the Avalanche facing off against the Calgary Flames. These four games will mark the longest season-opening homestand in team history, with the previous being three games – the 1998-99 and 2015-16 seasons.

The Avalanche then host the Minnesota Wild on October 5, the Boston Bruins on October 10, and the Arizona Coyotes on October 12. They'll then hit the road for the next six games, returning home to the Pepsi Center on October 26 to face the Anaheim Ducks.

A highlight of the season this year will be the NHL Stadium Series outdoor game scheduled on February 15, 2020. The game will be held at the United States Air Force Academy against the Los Angeles Kings – the first outdoor game in the Air Force’s history and only the second to ever be played at a United States service academy. Colorado previously hosted an outdoor game in 2016 at Coors Field against the Detroit Red Wings.
