The team will train at Bon Secours Training Center from July 27–31.

Good news, football fans! In July, Washington Football Team is heading to Training Camp in Richmond, Virginia. On Friday, the team announced they'll be settling at the Bon Secours Training Center between Tuesday, July 27, and Saturday, July 31, to conduct training sessions and interact with fans. They have previously utilized the city's sports complex for the annual gathering but took a hiatus in 2020 following the pandemic.

The Washington Post reports the team will return to their Ashburn headquarters at the beginning of August.

"Our entire organization is thrilled to return to Richmond for Training Camp this year," President Jason Wright said in a press release. "Our time spent in Richmond has been successful on and off the field, highlighted by the connection to our fans along with our community engagement efforts that have positively impacted Richmond and the surrounding area. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with the City of Richmond as we return and kick off our 2021 season."

Each day of camp will feature training sessions with the team and special themed days centered around the community. So far, the schedule includes Military Appreciation Day and Kids Day, with the final day closing with Fan Appreciation Day. The event also pays it forward with charitable enterprises that serve the broader community. Past efforts have resulted in refurnishing school sports facilities and contributing to programs like Loads of Love, which supplies laundry equipment to children experiencing homelessness in the region.

On the team's return, Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney said he was "pleased" and expressed excitement towards the prospects of new team leadership, as well as the opportunities that lay ahead for the city. "We look forward to hosting the team for an exciting week that features emerging young talent on the field and showcases all that Richmond has to offer off the field," he said in a statement.
