The mirrored infinity rooms by Kusama have been one of the most popular attractions at the National Mall.

If you missed your chance to see the new One With Eternity exhibit by Yayoi Kusama, you are in luck. The Hirshhorn Museum is extending the residency of the popular infinity mirrors exhibit through next spring. Created by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, the installation features five exhibits, including two mirrored rooms filled with brightly colored sculptures that appear to go on forever.

Kusama’s One With Eternity has been open since April, but visitors could only get tickets in person each morning. Beginning on November 10, you can get tickets by reserving them online ahead of your visit or by picking up unclaimed tickets on-site at the welcome desk.

“We want as many people as possible to experience Yayoi Kusama’s transportive artwork at the Hirshhorn,” said Museum Director Melissa Chiu. “I am thrilled to announce a substantial extension and the introduction of online timed-pass distribution so our visitors can plan ahead.”

More than 520,000 people have visited since the exhibition opened in April. The new reservation system will allow visitors to book two passes per person. Children under 12 do not need a pass, but must be accompanied by an adult. The booking system will release new tickets daily beginning at noon for the following day.

Kusama's infinity rooms have toured museums across the country, stunning visitors and breaking records. The Hirshhorn is also making it easier for guests to visit by adding an online reservation system for tickets.

The Hirshhorn recently opened a new photography exhibition by Chinese photographers called A Window Suddenly Opens: Contemporary Photography in China. The exhibit features more than 180 images created by artists throughout the 1990s and 2000s in China. The collection is a gift from collector Larry Walsh and will remain on display through early 2024.
