This three-day festival features over 20 performers and two stages, surrounded by beautiful red rocks and scenery. Like the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, there is also camping available for purchase in the area.

Telluride Bluegrass Festival

The Telluride Bluegrass Festival occurs every June in Telluride among the stunning San Juan mountains during the weekend that's the closest to the Summer Solstice. It's put on by Planet Bluegrass, which also has other festivals in Colorado. In addition to the expansive music lineup that comes with the paid tickets, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival also offers free workshop sets at Elks Park, including more music and yoga! You can choose to purchase camping in the area, or if you'd rather find your own accommodations, look into dispersed camping, hotels, etc. Wherever you choose to stay, you can't have a bad time in this amazing mountain town!

Blues From The Top Music Festival

Winter Park also hosts the Blues From The Top Festival, put on by the Grand County Blues Society, a nonprofit organization. In addition to the music, there will be various vendors, a silent auction, and more.

Also, in Denver, you will find the Underground Music Showcase. This festival spans three days and features various outdoor and indoor stages. It's a great opportunity to see newer talent, as well as take in the Broadway culture, yummy food, Underground Parties, and more. The site also mentioned they have an "inclusive sober scene," meaning you can feel supported in having a great time without alcohol if that's what's best for you.

Rhythms on the Rio

Another camping festival to check out in Colorful Colorado is Rhythms on Rio. This festival benefits the South Fork Music Association, which helps children in the San Luis Valley embrace music by providing string instruments and lessons. Bring the kids to this family-friendly event that also benefits local children. It's a win-win!

Beanstalk Music Festival

Beanstalk Music Festival, presented by Magic Beans, hosts some fantastic acts from the jam scene amid the Rockies and with the added scenery of the Colorado River. The shows start in the middle of the afternoon, giving you a chance to explore hiking, mountain biking, and other fun activities nearby before it's music time. This is also a camping festival.

Rocky Mountain Folks Festival

The Rocky Mountain Folks Festival is another one put on by Planet Bluegrass that takes place in Lyons, CO. The Wildflower Pavillion is one cool stage you will find here that offers a more intimate experience toward the back of the festival grounds. Camping is available at this festival as well. Jackson Browne, an American musician and singer-songwriter, was quoted on their website saying, "This is what I had in mind when I was about 15 or 16 and I thought it would be really great to travel around and play festivals. This was the festival I was thinking of."

We're headed back to Telluride for the Blues & Brews Festival! According to the website, this fest "offers an eclectic mix of live blues, funk, indie, rock, jam-band, gospel, and soul performances accompanied by some of the best craft breweries in the country." What more could you ask for? Well, there actually is more. This event also has activities for kids, late-night club shows, morning yoga, regional food, vendors, and more!

Global Dance Festival

We are shifting to electronic music for this one. Here in Denver, we have Global Dance, which caters to fans of EDM. I've never been there myself, but the night I met my boyfriend, he had just come from the festival, and seemed to have had a great time! Information for the 2024 festival has yet to be announced, but we're keeping our eyes peeled.
